As Head of Strategic Partnerships & Market Development at Uptake, you will open institutional doors, build market credibility, and establish the ecosystem relationships that shape the national narrative around healthcare AI governance. You will sit at the intersection of health systems, pharma enterprises, federal bodies, and industry coalitions—positioning Uptake as the definitive control plane for enterprise AI.

Ecosystem Scale

Expand our design partner pipeline beyond premier health systems and lead strategic alignment across health systems, pharma, and government bodies.

Key Responsibilities

Building market leadership across institutions, narrative, and ecosystem.

Ecosystem & Institutional Access

  • Activate existing networks across VHA, FDA, CMS, CHAI, and leading health systems to open warm executive introductions.
  • Embed Uptake in national AI governance forums, working groups, and standards-setting coalitions.
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with Chief Digital Officers, CMIOs, and Chief AI Officers - Uptake's core buying personas.

Market Narrative & Thought Leadership

  • Co-author Uptake's public point of view on AI governance and observability alongside the CEO.
  • Represent Uptake as a named speaker or panelist at major industry conferences (HLTH, ASCO, DTx, FDA forums).
  • Author opinion pieces and bylines establishing Uptake as the credible authority in AI portfolio oversight.

Design Partner Development & Expansion

  • Own the expansion of the design partner program across health systems, research centers, and pharma enterprises.
  • Deepen reference relationships with flagship design partners to prove real-world deployment speed and clinical value.
  • Build structured onboarding and engagement frameworks so market learnings continuously inform product and GTM strategy.

Strategic Positioning & Coalition Standards

  • Translate market signals from executive networks into actionable product and positioning intelligence.
  • Participate in standards-setting bodies (such as CHAI) to embed Uptake into the foundational policies shaping healthcare AI.
  • Identify strategic grant and public funding opportunities (ARPA-H, NIH, ONC programs) aligned with Uptake's mission.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 15+ Years of Executive Leadership in healthcare partnerships, market development, or strategic GTM across health systems, digital health, or pharma.
  • Unmatched C-Suite & Institutional Network: Active, direct relationships with health system CDOs, CMIOs, Chief AI Officers, and innovation leads across top health networks.
  • Published Thought Leadership Track Record: Proven ability to author and publish authoritative bylines in premier outlets (Nature, STAT, Health Affairs, or similar publications).
  • Public Speaking & Executive Presence: Demonstrated experience as a named speaker or panelist at major national forums (HLTH, ASCO, DTx, HIMSS).
  • Coalition & Policy Fluency: Hands-on familiarity with healthcare policy, regulatory bodies (FDA, CMS, VHA), and standards coalitions (CHAI, NIST).
  • 0→1 Market Creation Mindset: High-energy, self-driven leader capable of opening executive doors, building institutional trust, and driving partnerships from advisory phase to full-time scale.
